Bacchus Marsh Grammar Woodlea Campus Year 9 and 10 Library and Science Facility

This project involved the construction of a complex three-storey educational facility requiring a high level of planning, coordination and construction expertise. Our team managed all aspects of the works from site establishment through to completion, maintaining strict control of programme, cost and quality throughout. The structure comprised a reinforced concrete frame with post-tensioned slabs, requiring careful sequencing of formwork, reinforcement, stressing operations and concrete pours to achieve the required programme milestones while maintaining stringent quality standards. A significant component of the project involved the installation of a highly detailed pop-out Vitradual panelled façade, which required extensive shop drawing coordination, off-site fabrication management and precise on-site installation to achieve the architect’s design intent. Internally, the project incorporated several specialist elements including feature Troldtekt ceilings, operable wall systems, an internal green wall and pond feature, together with complex mechanical, hydraulic and electrical services installations throughout the building. The science laboratories required particularly careful coordination of specialist services, fume cupboards and Trespa benchtops, ensuring all installations were completed in accordance with relevant standards and operational requirements.

The project also included extensive external works comprising hard and soft landscaping, external breakout areas and associated civil infrastructure. Throughout construction, our team maintained a strong focus on safety, workmanship and stakeholder communication, successfully managing multiple trades and interfaces to deliver a high-quality outcome within the agreed contract parameters.

The success of the project led directly to our appointment on three subsequent projects for the same client, demonstrating their confidence in our ability to consistently deliver complex projects on time, within budget and to a high standard of workmanship.
